Data Collection & Storage

InkStyle is a client-side application. All text conversion happens in your browser using Unicode character mappings. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your input text to our servers.

What we collect from our servers:

• No personal information
• No text input data
• No user accounts or authentication
• Anonymous analytics via Ahrefs Web Analytics (page views only)

Local Browser Storage (IndexedDB)

InkStyle uses client-side storage only (IndexedDB) for the following features. All data stays in your browser and never leaves your device:

• Collections: Your saved font collections and styled text specimens. Stored entirely in your browser, never sent to our servers. You control deletion through the app interface.
• History: Recent font conversions (last 100 items). Stored entirely in your browser and automatically cleaned up when the limit is reached.
• Favorites: Your favorite font specimens and use counts for sorting. Stored entirely in your browser.

Important: You can clear all InkStyle data at any time through your browser settings. Clearing browser data will delete all your collections, history, and favorites. Data is not synchronized across devices.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: Privacy-focused analytics that collects anonymized usage data (page views, referrers, device types). No personal information is tracked. Learn more
• Google AdSense: May display contextual advertisements. Google may use cookies for ad personalization. You can opt out through Google Ad Settings
• Google Fonts: We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect limited data when fonts are loaded. Privacy info

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking. Third-party services (AdSense) may use cookies for ad personalization. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Data Security

Since all processing happens client-side in your browser, your text never travels over the network to our servers. Your data is as secure as your local device.
